“The UTOPIA” Built-in Driver Backrest in material and thread to closely match your stock seat. Can be adjusted up/down as well as forward & back to fit your height and riding position. Pivots while riding for natural position and folds forward to allow passenger to mount & dismount. Easy to install with minimal tools. Available in recommended “Comfort” pad for optimal, long-riding support as well as shorter “Sport” pad.

Installation & Other Info:

This model does require that you unstaple and fold back material & foam from seat pan in order to install mounting bracket. When reupholstering, the bar will reveal where you need to cut a small line in the material for the bar to pass through. Please be assured, thousands of riders have installed this without difficulty and the material will not run or fray. I'm pleasantly surprised

I hesitated to order the backrest at first because I thought I might be disappointed after cutting and modifying my back seat. Installation was straightforward and once it was on I had to adjust my technique for mounting the bike a bit. Easy enough to step on the peg and throw a leg over so that wasn't an issue. Once I rode with it adjusted I'm finding my back is in a much more comfortable angle and I can relax against the rest. It will make a higher difference on long rides. I'm glad I tried it! Concerning customer service, I called the shop and one of the owners helped with any questions I had and this reassured me that they're a legitimate business with customer oriented service.

This backrest is a lot more comfortable than the pack I had strapped to the seat. Its a world of difference. I would definitely recommend this product.
