I recently purchased a Utopia backrest for my 2024 BMW C 400 GT. It was easy to install on the scooter, and makes a huge difference in back support, especially on longer rides. I initially had an issue with proper alignment of the curve of the backrest to the curve of my back. Once I let Utopia know, they responded very quickly and resolved the issue. Very happy with the backrest. I have used with heavy cruisers and touring bikes and have always found Utopia provides a great, durable product and the best customer service.
Love this drives backrest. This is the second one I've put on my scooters. The first was in 86 on my new scooter. Now in 2024 I'm doing the same thing on my new to me 86 Honda Helix. Sure helps my bad back. Don't worry about cutting the seat, patch covers the cut and after installing the seat it is unnoticeable. High quality backrest.

The finished product is great. Getting the foam out was the challenge. Directions could be a little better, which way the main bar faces. Now that it's done, I would recommend it.

The backrest works wonders. Looking to take my first long trip, this would have been impossible before with my back issues. I was a bit intimidated with taking apart the seat, but it went quicker than I thought. I just took tons of pics as I disassembled the seat, so I could put it back together. I bought the quick release bar, and it works great, and is stable, you just have to get it real tight. Customer support answered my questions quickly.
This is the 2nd bike I have gotten a Utopia backrest for. This one is just as awesome as the first. Installation took about an hour and is very easy.

Great quality, craftsmanship and very comfortable. Measurements have to be spot on. The internal cushion is a little tedious. Otherwise very satisfied.

Although the installation required the removal of the seat-cover, the complete job only took a few hours, and I am very happy with it.

This should be a factory option for the BMW C400GT. Easy to install and so much better for my back. Increased ride comfort especially when sitting with your feet forward. Would highly recommend it.
The backrest and bar cover is worth every penny. Fit and finish is superb. Adds about 2 hours more riding per day.
