Only wish the quick release mechanism had a spring rocker to release and slide out instead of a screw that was buried inside the seek cushion. I would think a spring rocker like switch with a pin that locked into place would be more feasible than trying to fight the cushion to unscrew a set screw to release it.

I put the seat back on my 2024 Harley FLHP with a police seat. The install was simple and took around 30 min. Make sure you have a good drill and bit and it will go faster. You have to drill two holes in the seat frame (it was very easy do not let it stop you). (Directions are included). After installation there is an adjustment bolt on the seat back so that you can fine tune it to your liking. I would also recommend the bar pad option as it makes the seat look much better. The comfort this seat back provides is remarkable. It is the best money I have ever spent on a motorcycle. Highly recommended!!

Awesome back rest. Great craftsman fit and finish...very comfortable..after two back surgeries the harley police seat paired with the utopia backrest is the only way to go
I wrote and ask if they had a military discount. They do. Andy was real helpful in processing my order with the discount. Checked to see if he had one on the shelf for my bike. Unfortunately he did not so I was informed that it would be 4-5 days before shipping. I ordered on a Monday, much to my surprise I received an email stating that it was going out that day and would be here on Thursday. Then on Wednesday it arrived. Installation was pretty straightforward. Instructions were well written. Some additional pictures would have been helpful but was able to figure it out. Went for a 275 mile ride on Saturday. Had to fine tune the adjustments which was simple to do. I am loving it!
It fits well on my 2020 Kawasaki Versys SE. I ordered the comfort backrest option without the quick release which i believe it is not required. I was able to install it by my self but make sure you watch YouTube videos to get familiar with the process. It took me around 2 hrs to complete but i was careful not to miss up. It took the store around 10 days to prepare my order and 1 week to reach me in Saudi Arabia which is considered fast through UPS.

My backrest was damaged in transit. After contacting Utopia an immediate re-shipment was done and as always the new rest worked great. This is my fourth Utopia purchased back rest. I highly recommend Utopia.
I have a long-term back injury and need a backrest on my motorcycles. I only got to ride for a short while, but this backrest feels really good and I am sure will support me well. The install went just like the instructions. I was surprised that the upholstery store charged me $75 to staple the cover on.

Great backrest. Easy to install. I got the smaller backrest - it looks better on my bike in my opinion. I also got the quick disconnect so I can easily pull it out when I do shorter rides
This is my second Utopia backrest (had one on my Yamaha cruiser) and I really like it. Comfortable, very adjustable, well-made. Really makes riding your Gold Wing like sitting in your easy chair. :-)
Installation was pretty easy since Gold Wings seats are designed to include a backrest, in fact it was actually harder to remove/reinstall the seat than it was to attach the backrest to the seat. Once the seat was off, turn it upside down, drop the metal seat brace into place on pre-made backrest slots, tighten four screws and done. You do have to attach one self-tapping screw to the seat's backrest slot, but it was easy.
After the seat is reinstalled the backrest attaches to the bracket with a single bolt. The seat height and forward/backward alignment are very adjustable over a wide range.
The only quibble I have is that it'd be nice if the seat dropped forward more so that it'd lie flat against the rider seat to make it easier to get my leg over the bike. But that's a small nit, I recommend this backrest highly.
This is the fourth bike that I have put a Utopia backrest on. I have never been disappointed! In this case,I followed detailed instructions from someone on the K1600 forum; they were flawless and installation only took an hour start to finish! Very pleased with the result.

I ordered a replacement part for my Utopia seat backrest. Apparently it was delayed in the mail and thought to be lost. I contacted customer service and without any questions asked they sent me out a replacement. The following day I received the original part and tried to stop the second unit from being mailed. It was too late and they advised me just to keep both. Thank you much for helping me out with the situation.
